Happy Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day history goes back to the Civil War era. They were originally called “Decoration Day” and were created out of a desire to honor those who had fallen. That particular date, May 30, was chosen because it wasn’t the anniversary of any particular battle its the remembrance of all the soldiers that have served and fallen for the United State of America.

In December of 2000 a resolution was passed in Congress calling on all Americans to observe a National Moment of Remembrance at 3:00 p.m. local time. We are asked, “to voluntarily and informally observe in our own ways a moment of remembrance and respect, pausing from whatever we are doing for a moment of silence.” During every Memorial Day, the U.S. flag is quickly raised to the tops of flagpoles, slowly lowered to half-mast, and then raised again to full height at noon. The time at half-mast is meant to honor the million-plus fallen U.S. soldiers who have died for their country over the years. Re-raising the flag is meant to symbolize the resolve of the living to carry on the fight for freedom so that the nation’s heroes will not have died in vain.

In honor of the many men and women how have served our great country and who continue to serve today, Liquid Video Technologies, Incwill be closed Saturday, May 26th through Monday, May 28th for Memorial weekend.  We close our doors Friday evening at 6 pm and will reopen to serve you at our regular time on Tuesday, May 29th.
